Is Luxriot Evo compatible with Virtual Machine (VM)?
All Luxriot EVO editions are compatible with VM environments starting from 1.13.1 product version.
What password I need to use when making fresh install of Luxriot Evo software?
There is no password to use. Just leave password field blank and press “Ok”.
General questions about Evo Trial
Is there a free version of Luxriot Evo available for download?
No, our legacy free version of Evo was discontinued, and substituted with a full-functional Evo S 45-day trial.
Can I extend my Evo Trial?
Evo Trial is a free 45-day test drive for Evo S. You can apply your purchased Evo S licence key after the trial period is over.
Is the Evo Trial fully functional?
Yes, it has the same functionality as the Evo S version.
What happens after the 45 days of Evo trial passes?
Your licence key will be disabled, and Evo software will stop working. You can contact eu@luxriot.com or ny@luxriot.com for acquiring the Evo S licene key.
Where can I get Evo Free version?
Luxriot Evo Complimentary Edition has been replaced with Evo Trial, a 45-day long trial licence key. The trial key can be requested once for each machine right after installing Evo S.

What is the main Evo S difference from Evo Global?
The main difference is that Evo S is a standalone edition, which means that you can only run it on one server (physical or virtual).
What camera brand and models does Evo S support?

Can I use my Evo S licence key for an Evo Global installation?
No, the licence keys for the different software editions are not compatible. You can request a licence key upgrade from your distributor/Luxriot manager.
How many clients (users and devices) can connect to the Evo S server simultaneously?
You can connect with unlimited clients to the Evo S server.
How many cameras can I connect to Evo S?
You can connect from 4 up to unlimitrd channels to the Evo S server, based on your licence.
Is the communication between Evo S server, clients and cameras encrypted?
Yes, you can encrypt all communications happening in Evo Ecosystem including the archive footage.

What is the main Evo Global difference from Evo S?
he main difference is that Evo Global is a multi-server edition, which means that you can have unlimited recording servers.
Do I have to pay for additional Evo Global recording servers?
No, you can have unlimited recording servers included in the Evo Global licence price
Are there any redundancy features available?
Yes, Evo Global has multiple redundancy features like failover recording servers, mirroring servers, archive replication servers, fallback drives and edge storage support. When setup correctly, there is just no way to lose data!

Can I use my Evo Global licence key for an Evo S installation?
No, the licence keys for the different software editions are not compatible. If you have an Evo Global licence, you can obtain your Evo Global installation files from your Evo distributor. If you are a distributor, please contact your Luxriot manager.

You can connect with unlimited clients to the Evo Global server.
How many cameras can I connect to Evo Global?
You can connect from 50 up to unlimited channels to the Evo Global server, based on your licence.
Is the communication between Evo Global servers, clients and cameras encrypted?
Yes, you can encrypt all communications happening in Evo Ecosystem including the archive footage.

How can I get a trial licence key for Luxriot EVA Advanced analytics module?

How can I get a trial licence for Luxriot LPR?
A time-limited demo licence key can be requested from within the LPR software, from its Web interface. To get an Luxriot EVA LPR trial licence key, please request it from our sales department:
Can I get a trial of Luxriot EVA Basic?
All Evo S and Evo Global, even the trial ones, come with 1 complementary Luxriot EVA basic licence included.
How can I get a trial key for Vero FR?

Can Luxriot EVA Advanced detect smoking and vaping?
Yes, using neural networks we can detect cigarettes and vapes and alert you in case of such event
Can I create events based on analytic events?
Yes, you can use our advanced Event & Action configurator, to seamlessly create scenarios based on analytical (and any other) events.

Can I use Luxriot Evo on my mobile phone?
Yes, Evo Mobile client is available on both Android and iOS devices.
General questions about hardware
What hardware is required to run Luxriot EVO software?
The best way to determine the required hardware is to use or Hardware Calculator (insert hyperlink to the new calc). For most accurate calculations, you would need to know the camera quantity, Mainstream and Substream FPS and Resolution.
Can Luxriot Evo run on Linux?
Luxriot thick client can only be run on Microsoft Windows (starting from Windows 7), and Luxriot Thinn client can be run on Linux, MacOS, Web, and mobile devices (Android and iOS). Luxriot Evo Server can only be run on Microsoft Windows.
What CPU is best for Luxriot Evo?
It’s best to use an Intel CPU, but AMD can also be used.
Should I use an Nvidia or AMD GPU for boosting Evo Monitor decoding performance?
It’s best to use an Nvidia GPU, but AMD can also be used. Even Intel HD Graphics (Intel i-Core series processors) will provide a significant advantage for the Evo Monitor performance.
